Hi Prawncess,

How about:

Pre-planning some meal ideas for the next few days.

Tidying up.

Looking for a new recipe idea to try.

A few strength exercises like squats, press-ups, sit-ups.

Reading a magazine.

Reading a book.

Doing a task you've been putting off for a while.

Writing some goals you'd like to achieve.

Contacting a friend by phone or E-mail.

Try out a new exercise routine via u-tube or DVD or TV programme.

Knitting or crochet?

Think of planning how you can keep foods out of your way at this vulnerable time - e.g. out of sight, or not have them available in the house. Freeze any remaining cake, and take tempting foods away from sight.

Have a relaxing bath and pampering session.

If one thing doesn't work, then try another - having variety and different options will probably help.

Good luck!

Lowcal :-)

I have an adult colouring in book, for stress and for avoiding food

or exercise?

going for a walk?

as for the making plans that's a very good idea - I spend ages looking at holidays or trying to find gift ideas

do you like puzzles or games? Sudoku or jigsaws etc

Its a long soak in the bath that stops me or ironing but that's no fun. x

That's my difficult time too. I sip water, allow myself some fruit or a few nuts, watch a good film or go too bed early and read.

Good luck

Be distracted and fill up with herbal tea, the warm soothing liquid will be lovely too

I plan something for my supper - 2 finger kitkat (107 cals). Or cereal like rice krispies, or a crumpet and factor in the cals to my plan for the day. Otherwise I feel deprived, head for the kitchen and snack dangerously.

And if the munchies are baaad I go to bed early cos once I've brushed my teeth I don't want to eat. Good luck

I'm learning to knit, it's quite a good distraction. Starting to grow some herbs and veg in window boxes, which is also good, but only occupies a short time every few weeks!
