Not had a good weekend, not sure why, I think if I'm honest with myself when I feel low I give myself excuses to eat more.
This is the first time I have admitted it , I am an emotional eater .
Feels good sharing this, does anyone else feel like this ?

Probably all of us π They are hard habits to break. We have all damaged ourselves with food now we have to move food into a healthy place. A place where it nourishes us not damages us. That is the point of the 12 week plan. Healthy food = healthy you.
Join the club I was exactly in the same boat but I have found other healthier ways to deal with my emotions instead of food! I particularity like to study. Find something that you enjoy doing knitting, sewing, or reading something you like that and will make you feel good!
Right there with you, didn't fully admit I was an emotional eater until recently... Right about the time I weighed myself and I weigh more now than when I was nine months pregnant with my daughter!! In fact a lot more. I've been told to find other ways to distract myself like going out for a walk, move to a different room in the house, take a bath etc. Seems to be working at the moment but I guess admitting it is the first and most important step to real change. Good luck with your weightloss journey
I've posted a similar confession tonight. Difficult isn't it. When I'm fed up I eat, when I'm happy it usually involves some kind of meal out or celebration for something so I eat. When I'm upset I feel rubbish so I think ah well, I can't feel any worse and I eat. It's such a vicious circle and so hard to break. You're not alone.
As Aqua said I think thats most of us as far as emotional eating goes.
The reason we do it, very simply, is because our emotional centre is in our core so thats why we get butterflies in our stomach if we feel nervous or feel our stomachs churn if we are frightened or feel a dead weight in our stomach if we are depressed.
Eating fills our stomach and stops the feelings from those emotions.
Not sure if knowing that helps but absolutely - most of us are emotional eaters.
