Tomorrow will be my first day , so please bear with me. I can (I think) work out the calorie counter except for a couple of items. I usually have museli with fat free yoghurt for breakfast but I type in museli and it says nothing recorded.I've thrown the box away it came in so I can't even refer to that. Also if say, the calorific value of a tesco item is given. can I use that for a brand that isn't shown.Sorry to go on but I really want to get this right.

Hi Majorcagirl,
Maybe try the spelling as: 'muesli' and you'll have a better response. I think it just didn't recognise 'museli' - now I'm wondering whether I've spelled it correctly, but I think the version I wrote first is correct. Try that, and it should give you some results.

DUH!!!! silly me, I'll have another go or go back to school
many thanks.
Easily done - I was struggling today to spell Buryani - and I still don't know the correct spelling for that. I meant to google it...!
Hi again,
Just to say that I don't know which calorie counter you're using, but an app called 'Myfitnesspal' is very good and has a massive range of products within its database, so it might be worth a look - many of us use that one - it's free and easy to use.

Hi Majorcagirl,
If tomorrow is to be your first day, maybe this would be useful to you

All the best to you and hope to see you at the weigh-in and the challenge
Porridge
I would go tight back to basic at the start with the side of the packet and a set of scales. Used an app yesterday it was telling me there was a 4 calorie different between asda strawberry and Tesco ones lol so I just weigh it wright it down for next time I eat sound a lot of messing about but maybe quicker in the long run good luck
Thinking about that yoghurt.
Search [ worst sugar or fat].
Why? Because too often foods labelled NO or LOW fat contain added sugar which is worse.
