Chocolate fix???

Okay, so I'm doing more exercise and counting my calories and I'm doing all right.

I'm 'good' all day. Settle down for the evening. Then at some point, I don't know why, can't even predict precisely when, I crash, I just crave something sweet, generally chocolate, and it just won't go away until I give into it!! :(

Please help!

Try leaving something in your calorie count for a small 'treat' at the end of the day perhaps ? I generally have a kitkat every evening after dinner - it's something I really look forward to as a reward for being 'good' :-)

That's a good idea. Thanks :)

I do exactly what Lucca has suggested. I buy fun size bars of choc or kitkats or Dairy milk mini bars and have one a day - it really helps.

If you really want to avoid the calories then the age old favourite is sugar free jelly.

Good luck :)

Well I get spasms of wanting chocolate, what helps me is to have something I enjoy even more.. Not sure if it's good for me..I have half a cup of a carton of tomatoes or veg juice from the fridge, with maybe a cheese biscuit and sip this juice through the the evening and then I don't even want a chocolate.. Cos although I like to have some chocolate in the fridge if I look forward o the juice I leave the chocolate alone😉

When I get like this, I have a special K biscuit (98 cal for 2), they have 4 different flavours. Or i have sugar free polos to curb the craving. Also options hot chocolate is only 40 cals a cup :) good luck!

I have a square of 70% dark chocolate broken up into small pieces every evening. I just let the chocolate dissolve slowly in my mouth. It is a really intense chocolate hit and I don't find I want to eat the whole bar, which I would if I had a bag of fun size milk chocolate around.

put a small piece of chocolate in the freezer! When you want it just take a piece out and suck it for ages. Usually helps to not eat so much of it because it lasts a lot longer. BTW you can do this with grapes :-)

You could also try an options chocolate drink, it's not the same but it does help.

For a high sugar hit try sharon fruit or persimmon. It's really worked for me. I have also started keeping cooked beetroot in the fridge and having one when I need a hit.
