Well all out there, yesterday was my birthday I was officially the wrong side of 50. Where have all the years gone I ask myself? My lovely daughter brought me a chocolate birthday cake so not to be rude I had a thin slice with everyone else, I don't quite know what has happened to me but I actually didn't really want or enjoy it, all I could think was thank goodness I have enough calories left today to include this in my allowance. My point is although I have dieted and lost about 2-3 stone before I have never actually felt I was achieving anything hence putting it back on again. This forum and 12 week plan is totally re-educating my mind into thinking differently and I look back to 19/5/16 just 5 weeks ago and thank god I found this forum. I am feeling more positive than I have for 4 years, I am learning the true worth of what we eat but more than anything how I saw food and indeed ignored what it was doing to me. So a HUGE thankyou to Lowcal and the fab5ers and indeed all of you on the forum for posting your thoughts problems and successes you are all a fantastic bunch hope we can all continue to help each other on our journeys. Onwards and downwards guys and galsπβοΈ

Chocolate Cake Anyone?
Happy birthday for yesterday Itsbab hope you had a lovely day ππ
I've done what you have too, lost a few stone, then re-gained it! But not changed for life. I'm lucky in that I've never really liked chocolate cake, but a bar of chocolate, that's different! Well done for only having a small slice. Agree this forum and the 12 week plan helps re-educate, I'm on the wrong side of 70 so it's never too late to learn and I am changing eating habits with the help of the Fab 5ers and all the other good folk on here π

A healthy body is just the best birthday present you can give yourself! Well done and enjoy your 50's - it can be a great time of life!
Happy birthday! You have more control than me, I gained several lbs over my birthday! π
I am aiming for the lighter, healthy body DartmoorDumpling and I hope to get there by next year 2017. Unfortunately I have had half of my 50's which were not a good time but now I am determined to have the other half in a better mindset. Hope you are doing well and the weather is shinning for you in Devon you lucky person to live in such a beautiful placeπ
