Hi Stacy 90. Just a quick note before I trot off to fall into bed! Welcome!
I hope this works for you - there's always someone online to chat I think - and everyone's supportive and helpful, so don't hesitate to share a good or bad day on here. It sounds a bit daft, but I can't begin to tell you how helpful I've found it - so much better than a weekly slimming class.
People really "get" the fact that this is not just about shedding the pounds, but also about getting better habits and sticking with them and supporting others to do the same.
Not sure what your plan is - but lots of us at least start off with the NHS 12 week plan.
And also...
Use something like my fitness pal to track activity and calorie intake.
Weigh in every Monday on here with the gang.
Walk / cycle and or run and tell Lizzy what we've done each day so that together we are doing "Around the world in 80 days".
But you'll find people doing all or none of the above or something else entirely! So there's some support for everyone.
Hi I recently went on cymbalta which treats depression and anxiety, never had anxiety before although I do suffer with chronic depression. Anyway what an improvement, I am walking 8 kms a day in the around the world challenge.
Diet changes might make a lot of difference. I've heard that some people react to both gluten and sugar with depression/anxiety. Might be worth a try- diet changes are all something you can do yourself. You never know! There are lots of personal stories floating around out there about huge changes in people's health when they get off carbs/sugar, and some have serious improvement when they get rid of gluten.
