5th of jan: Hi all I have just signed up... - Weight Loss Support
5th of jan
Hi and welcome jackofall
I understand the reasoning behind starting on the 5th, but if you could bring yourself to start a day earlier, you could join us all for our first Monday group weigh-in of 2016 and join us at the start of our Around the World in 80 days challenge
Have you looked at the NHS 12 week plan to start you off on your healthy eating journey?

Looking forward to following your progress.
Here's to 2016 seeing the end to some, if not all of those 8 stones
Ok it's now the 4th! Marked on the calendar. I've looked at the 12 week plan and downloaded week 1, thank you for your help x
My pleasure jackofall
Will you be joining us at the weigh-in and on our trip around the world?
Do you have links for me to follow to them? Thank you x
Hi
do you need to sign up for this weigh in or just log on and enter details on Monday.
have signed up for round the world jolly as like targets as a spur to keep going.
You just log on and enter your details this Monday and every subsequent Monday, bo-henry. Take some time to read and respond to people's replies, because you'll find them extremely motivating
I'm thrilled that you've signed up for our Around the World "jolly", it's going to be great fun
Hi Good luck and maybe make your goal a lifestyle change. Your goal could be split into small ones - planned over 4 X 3 months for example. There is the c25K app which supports the goal to move more whilst eating less.
Hi
I'm going to start today. For health reasons I have decided to get lighter and fitter.
I know it's not going to be easy, but the time is now to do it.
Good luck!
Hi Jackofall, that's very positive! Good for you. 5th Jan last year was when I started trying to eat a bit better- good luck and I'm sure you'll do well! My tiny tip for what it's worth- try breaking that total down into teeny tiny targets so you're achieving regularly and can reward yourself with non food little treats 😀
Hi Jackofall
Good Luck with your journey. I struggled for several years to start losing weight, then I also started thinking about the health implications, I started on the NHS plan, joined a keepfit class and have been doing well. Lost a stone. For me it is the commitment of being weighed each week. Even when it gets tough or you have a 'bad day' please don't give up, just start afresh the next day, it really works that way.
Daisy
Good luck

A very warm welcome, and hope you enjoy being part of this forum. It's a great community, really friendly and supportive.
Happy New Year, and hope to see you around and about, and hopefully in the various challenges and maybe Monday weigh-in too, if you fancy joining us.
