Decided to aim for 3st 3lbs to weight loss. I have found fast diets were unsuccesful and constantly feeling hungry. I am not going to expect weight to drop off quickly at my age but aiming for a healthier lifestyle should help.

Slow and steady is the best and only way to shed unwanted weight, fast and furious weight loss always comes back (and some), been there, done that!

Slow and steady is definently best, I had about the same as you to lose at the beginning and am now 13 weeks in and 24lbs lighter. I'm not young, 61 so find walking etc the best exercise and healthy eating that I can stick to and enjoy is the best way. I wanted to make a permanent change not a quick fix. Good luck
That is very encouraging I too have that much to lose. I am trying to eat homemade soup and apples to stop me feeling hungry
