So after my success at walking my little Tuesday night dog Spike, I've been walking a little bit every day, not far, but to and from my daughters house and the shops, which had been totally impossible a few weeks ago. So its YAY! For ibuprofen.
NOT yay for my food intake however....
The bad news is that my 80s diet has taken a tumble this week, in fact anything looking remotely like a diet has taken a tumble. Why ?
I have no idea. I thought I was on plan - but I just started badly and its got worse.
Its like a kick back to all my good work and careful planning. I've just eat anything I abd too much of everything . I will have gained my 2 lbs back and more and feel bloated, sad and a bit defeated.
Still I gave blood yesterday, so I'm not a totally bad person ....
Anyway, no weight loss to report this week, too scared to step on the scales, but can FEEL a weight gain, and can only hope the wagon passes by soon so that I can at least have a chance of getting back on sometime soon.
Does anybody else have this self distruct button that I seem to have ?

Yes Libby, i was doing ok until my weekly visit to my local garden centre for lunch with friends. Always my undoing, a cheese jacket, tiny salad and apple pie and custard. One week i didnt have a sweet it caused so much uproar and discussion. You dont need to lose weight etc etc etc. So ikeep the peace but i,m not doing what i want to do. I,ve lost nothing again this week. Disheartened. What i am doing though is making better meal choices and less of them. Hopefully healthier for it. Todays another day. X
Morning Libby, I am chuffed about the walking.🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼
Re your eating when you are ready best thing to do is hop on the scales and then you know the worst. I don't think there is anyone using this site and trying to change that hasn't done this at some stage. Part of what we have to learn to do is not let the backsliding become the reason to drop off. 🐍
I ate a lot of curry in the eighties!! Happy days😁
I ate pizza on toast in the 80s, as well as fish fingers, alphabetti spaghetti and babybels. For exercise I rode my bike in the park, jumped in and out of skipping ropes all tied together in one long skipping rope at school, and did awful 'cross country' running round the school field. Hope these ideas inspire you to get back onto your 80s plan. I hear the wagon passes early in the mornings. If you can get back on then, then the rest of the day tends to go well. Congrats on all the walking and good luck
Don't wait for the wagon to pass by, just call out loudly for it to come back for you, and get on it again straight away. Try not to let last week get you down - it's in the past already, and the positives about the week are several -you are enjoying walking again, and have been to visit your daughter with Spike - and also that you gave blood, which will have helped some other people tremendously.
Challenge that thought that you've got a self destruct button - you can move on from this in a completely positive way - providing you don't let it get you down.
It won't take long to get back on track, especially if you start this very moment!
Hope you enjoy the weekend, and wishing you a positive week ahead.
Firstly, you are not a bad person for slipping a little this week. Everyone has their weaknesses.
Secondly, I wouldn't put off getting on the scales because this could lead to you not getting next week or the week after etc. Then you'll stop posting here and you'll forget you're trying to lose weight.
Just get on the scales, face the reality and carry on. Worst case is you've put on a couple of lbs and maybe set yourself back a week - it is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
So glad you are getting out and walking - it has made a huge difference to me so try to keep it up if you can.
Hi.I too seem to have that self.district button.I counted calories this week and lost 3 pounds .Ate too much yesterday and put 2 pounds back on.Once I start eating rubbish I just can't stop .
