Hi

I also weigh myself in the morning but I go to slimming world classes which are in the evening .If I could get weighed there naked it would be fine as when I come home and weigh myself naked there's always a couple of pounds difference in my favour lol.Mind you we always stand in queue taking off as much as we can before being weighed .

So morning is best 🌻🌺🌸😃

That reminds me of a time I was queuing to be weighed at Wight watchers many years ago.....

There was a lady in from of me and mum, who was wearing quite a bit of heavy looking gold jewellery. She started taking it all of in preparation for stepping on the scales - exactly as most of us would. But then she astounded us by putting in all in to her trouser pockets and stepping on the scales!!!!

Hi CoolieFit!

As others have said, morning are the usual time for dieters to weigh in, as that is when we usually weight least.

However, I don't think it really matters when you get weighed, as long as you weigh in at the same time every time you step on the scales..... You can keep a more accurate record then!

I think Wednesday's....as I get over any celebrations by then....morning or pm must be down to the individual I think as we all retain water in different ways.

Same as above, first thing, naked before my morning cuppa. Mostly on a friday morning before the weekend . When you are losing , I find weekly is enough. Now I have reached my goal weight, I weigh myself fortnightly which is often enough to keep an eye on things without being obsessive about a 1-2 pound fluctuation ( which is quite normal in maintenance ).

As most have said they prefer first thing in the morning - so do I.

But realistically as long as you weigh yourself at about the same time every week thats all that matters - just to get consistency.

The impressive thing to me is that you weigh yourselves at all! I haven't dared. I do feel a bit lighter, but I haven't been totally virtuous, and I'm worried that not seeing an encouraging loss will send me right back into the wicked realms of wine and pudding and cream and cheese and oh help....

I don't think it matters. What is important, if you are trying to lose weight, is same time, same day, same scales and in the same (or similar) clothes each week. Weight can vary by up to 4lb in the course of a day so jumping on and off the scales at various times of the day can be very misleading.

I go to Slimming World and although I will admit to weighing myself at home on occasions the only weight I go by is the one I am given at class on a Wednesday evening

Weigh after when u wake up,naked,no drink or food n best if after toilet(pee, pooh😁), same day each week. I do sat mornings😊 if u do the party at weekends, choose week days 😊

OK, I gritted my teeth and did it, and despite feeling a bit better physically than I did before, my weight hasn't moved! So... I need to stop fooling myself that I'm cutting down enough to lose weight. Portion size is a major problem for me as I know I'm eating too much but am not sure how much too much. Does anyone know of a quick and easy portion size guide, or even a 2 week diet plan with all meals and portions set out? I think I need to follow something detailed to re-educate myself, and this is an ideal week to start as my daughter's away so she won't have to be subjected to any of the experimentation! Also a good calorie counter app could help, to fill things in at work and stuff...

myfitness pal is the most popular app for counting things

I have to weight all my food to get the portions correct - except my veg and I don't include potatoes as veg

if you have free time then go around the supermarket or google some low cal recipes put them in the app along with everything else you eat - and your weight. also make sure you check on the bmi calc how many calories you should be having a day
