Hi,
I wonder if someone could help me. I would like to know when is the best time to weigh yourself?
Should I weigh myself in the morning before breakfast or it won't make a difference when I weigh myself?
Thank you

most people will say morning but i do mine when i go to bed then i know i,m doing it when i,ve had my food but dont realy think it matters
Im not sure i always do it in the morning around the same time each week just before breakfast. But everyones different
Most people do it first thing in the morning because that way it's easier to replicate the same conditions each time, ie: empty stomach (assuming you don't work nights or something) and the same state of dress, PJ's or Undressed etc.
you should weigh your self first thing in the morning when you get up.
Morning is the best, before breakfast and after first visit to loo, all helps. Good luck
weight yourself at the same time every morning before you break your fast. so the answer is when you first wake up. William. good luck.
Hi all, thank you so much for replying to my question. Much appreciated
First thing in the morning, post-wee pre-tea/coffee and only once a week.
Hi gingernut49,
Thank you for replying to my question much appreciated.
I thought you had to weigh yourself everyday? I didn't realise it should be once a week.
Thank you for that advice.
Sweety
Gosh no. We all have daily fluctuations so you'd only depress yourself if you weighed more one day than the day before. I lost three stone in six months on the 5:2 Diet and only weighed myself the morning after my second 'fasting' day. I've maintained my weight loss since April 2013 by just 'fasting' one day a week and now I weigh myself just on a Saturday morning to catch any rogue pounds before they multiply by doing two 'fasts' that week. A fast is up to 500 calories for women, 600 for men.
Rosemary Conley used to say "Weigh yourself once a week in the morning after you've visited the bathroom!" Although I continue to weigh myself every morning - after coffee but before breakfast!
Have you been to your GP? Are you still seeing the medics after your operation? The dietician at the hospital or your health centre might be able to offer some advice! You prob need some high cal soft / liquid foods to stop the weightloss! Custard with full fat cream etc. I'm sure nhs must have a booklet somewhere! Best wishes and good luck!

Very best wishes lovely! Try high calorie anything! Keep in touch - thinking of you both!
