Well it sounds better than - "I havnt lost any weight since I started.."

Not strictly true, I lost 3lbs. Since then, I havnt been any good on a plan, so Im amazed that Im not 17 stone already. I still have my bursitis ( if that is what it is- still not officially confirmed) Had my Xray, waiting for the results, still waiting for referral by the dr to musckuloskelletal (?) dept, fed up, and thinking about getting a blue badge for my car.

Discouraged by a tall slim fit paramedic who told me she has bursitis, and described my pain exactly BUT at 32 years old, said shed had the pain for 12 years AND had had the steroid jabs which she said helped , but only for a short time. As yet, I still havnt been offered them anyway. I was sort of banking on all this being due to overweight, when someone like her can have it, I worry for myself at 64...

Still, we go onwards and hopefully see a week out of - if nothing else - maintaining.

Im trying a low carb week. Usual thing, meat, fish veg fruit etc. Staying positive, despite my downbeat post and concentrating on not bingeing.

Has anyone read a book called Taming the Feast Beast by Jack and Lois Trimpey? Its not a diet, no diet plan there, but its very interesting and seeks to explain why we sabotage our own diet plans and how to stop doing it to ourselves. Worth a look.

Congratulations to all my friends who have got what they wanted this week in terms of weight loss, and thank you for your continued support ! Xxx

Anything that isn't a gain is a result. Don't be so tough on yourself

Hi Libby,

{{{{big hug}}}} Try not be so hard on yourself, you are going through a lot and this all takes it toll.

You are still 3 Ib down and maintains is better than on. Even if you chug along at maintaining till all your results are back is a positive, I hope you are able to see that.

My sister has got some arthritic issues in the bones of foot ( I can't think what it's called) and it took ages before she was offered steroid injections the first one did not work and the one she had a few weeks ago has helped so again it might be offered once diagnosis is confirmed.

I've not read the book but am go give it a look.

I hope you have a better week💐

😇

I so agree with the point you made that you're maintaning....and, as you say, what would have happened if you were not on this site? So onwards and downwards....

Don't despair Libby, I'm sure that eventually everything will be sorted.

It's difficult to see the positives when you're bogged down with pain and frustration, but as even you've said, at least you're not 17 stone, so being able to maintain is a great achievement.

Fingers crossed that the low carb diet will be enough to get things kick started for you and that your bursitis is dealt with.

Not what you're looking for?
