I'm not being rude folks..

For the last few days I have been experiencing lots of connecting problems with this forum. Like many I have had the forum no longer exists, I am not a member, unlogging me, etc... you get the gyst. Today I am on, but I am still not being able to respond to others posts, though I can read many of them ( in between the site cutting me off). I am not being rude friends, I am trying to respond to your wonderful posts but the site isn't even letting me 'like' them let alone respond. Ironically I am seemingly able to respond to folk leaving a response on my posts!! Well, at the minute I am, if I log off heaven knows what I'll be able to do / not do if I try to log back on. Frustrated isn't the word!!

So, apologies for appearing to ignore fellow posters - it really is beyond my control at the minute.

It's weird isn't it? I am logging in 'through the back door' so to speak, even that is a little hit and miss. Also can't understand how I can reply to my own posts responses but not other peoples posts. I am going to keep trying though. 😊

Weekend so far is okay, but tons of rain out here near me. The sky here is very cloudy and gloomy looking. Have you ever read a horror story by Stephen King? If you have, you'll understand what I mean!

It has been many years since reading a Stephen King novel, but yes, I do know what you mean, lol. Weather still fine at the minute here. My weekend has been a little full on even though I have not been working, I have a friend going through some issues and who suffers from depression, as much as I am trying to be of support, I am feeling totally drained myself. Hey ho 😊

I know how that can be when you have to help a friend. It seems like I do that all the time-- even now. I have to call my friend soon, but not yet because I know he's working right now. There's a lot of stuff I need to tell him when I do get in touch.

I fully understand your frustration, I posted about it on Friday "persona non grata". I had hoped it would be sorted out by now, but no such luck!

I agree with Elissy, why hasn't someone official explained and given us some idea of how long it's going to continue for.

I can see a lot of us going off the rails this week without our support network.

Fingers crossed it gets sorted very soon, in the meantime, I think we'll have to take it as read that no response probably means problems with the site and not something more sinister

It seems to be getting worse, at first I just had the problems getting onto the site, then I started with problems reading and writing posts, now I can read posts but can't respond, only my own. Even this has just played up as I have just responded to Portlandprincess and submitted it, but heaven knows where it has gone!! Wrote another response to her and it posted fine. I am also getting random posts popping up from over a year ago instead of recent posts.

Still frustrating Andrew, lol. This house has 4 I pads, 2 main frames and 5 laptops, usually around 5 running together, which is why I have the most advanced and reliable connection available to my area ( my son is a computer technician). He reckons it is just glitches on the forum itself and I just have to be patient ( not something I am reknowned for 😬) Said son thinks my daughter and myself assume that our computers are miracle workers ( we also apparently think he is when we have cocked them up - which is often in my case). He visibly pales if we even glance at his computer!!!! He has a 'don't even think about' sign on his IPad and Laptop.

I remember him ordering some raspberries once offline and said I would just pick some up when I went shopping, he nearly expired from laughing so much ( yes I know what a raspberry is now, he uses them to make some snazzy little things).

So barely constrained patience it is........ 😕

I get similar problems especially with popular threads like the Monday weigh in and more so if I'm using the I-pad.

I only use my IPad, so much easier ( and less likely for me to cock-up). Much to my computer technician sons disgust, technology is a bit of a mystery to me. 😊
