Whyyyyyy??!!: Perfectly on track all day... - Weight Loss Support
Whyyyyyy??!!
These things happen, you will realise in time that often a nibble of something is enough, you are prob still addicted.
New day tom, carry snacks, Aldi do mini choc bars, mentally easier to see as a portion, alternatively naked bars are fab too
Hi Kwill....what are you like...like me sometimes and many others here but tomorrow is another day.put all things like choc In the freezer and then put the freezer in the garage...amazing how this is a deterrent...the further away the temptation the less we bother to get it! So....tomorrow is a new day ...why not go for a run cos your body doesn't want that excess energy and it's quite hard for it to store it up! A nice walk in the sun and you'll feel good!😄
hi their Kwill86 your not on your own we have already been there and blow tv up its that word TEMPTATION its one we all fall to, i bet it was nice to have a cuppa when you were out WHY didn't you have something to eat whilst your out i know i'm guilt myself difference is i'm diabetic so it would be mad for me to go that long without food but one thing many i just say that even if your not diabetic you to can go low to the fact the you could eat the chippy, a piece of advice if your young and health try and stay that way please don't do sorry for saying this silly things like that it wouldn't do you again good sorry if i sound like your father but its bad enough getting ill health when your older never mind when your young take care kindest regards Alan
By 9pm you would be tired and "resistance," low. Starving so long is almost torture perhaps a piece of chocolate earlier might have helped both emotionally and physically.
We are surrounded at every opportunity to feast. In street, media home. It's part of ocymoronic economy! Hang in there

What's done is done. Move on. If you beat yourself up about it you will find it harder to bounce back. Redouble your efforts today and get yourself some healthy snack food in. Maybe some unsalted nuts like almonds. Or some veg sticks. I've had to stop buying chocolate as I know I have limited will power. If I haven't got it. I can't eat it. Don't dwell on this slip. Move on to your next victory. We've all been there.
Why buy it in the first place?
Learn from it and move on as others have said above, I also recommend getting small choc- style snacks to beat the craving. And build small snacks into your day so you feel satisfied all day. Even if this is small, like a fruit snack box, mini choc bars, a few nuts and raisins. I also find having a planned after dinner snack helps too. If you know you'll be having a couple of squares of dark chocolate, or a lo cal hot choc drink, it'll be easier to dismiss those craving thoughts. Good luck beating it next time. And just prepare all the time, have strategies ready for every eventuality
Just watchecD Drew Darole video and he said chocolate craving is a lack of magnesium??
Hi, Clearly you are addicted, that is no reason to be hard on yourself. In the same way it is easy for a non smoker to tell a smoker to just stop, you are using the food to anaesthetize your emotions whether it be stress, guilt, boredom.......the list is individual and endless. Ok so that is the 'why' sorted, now the hard bit conquering the addiction. There are loads techniques and strategies to get you through addiction from downright will-power, to group therapy, hypnotism......etc. Food is a complex addiction, you can't just stop eating like you can stop smoking, I believe controlling a food addiction is the hardest thing of all. If you are addicted to just one food substance, say, chocolate for instance then you can give it up and just grin and bear it knowing that just one square of chocolate (=just one cigarette) will have you addicted again. Abstinence is hard at first, however, like all addiction the longer you abstain the easier it will become over time. Perhaps too, a daily diary of exactly what you were doing when the sudden urge to eat visits you. Maybe you can identify a pattern? Change the the routine and the way you see yourself and the rest will follow.
If, however, you are like me, my food addiction does not discriminate between any particular foodstuffs, when my addiction kicks in I will eat absolutely anything to excess, living in a village well served by Supermarkets is like having an enormous pantry, so I am struggling to keep away when the demons in my head demand food. I am going to try to plan my shopping in the future, plan menus and buy just what I need and see how it goes. I will post again in around a month and report how I got on.
My very best wishes, I hope this long-winded response has helped
Oh no sounds like something I would do... Don't dwell on it too much just console yourself that eating your body weight in chocolate after being really 'good' all day is better than eating your body weight in chocolate after eating what you normally eat.
Yeah, right. Thing is, when you want that cake or chocolate, nothing satisfies. Food addiction has nothing to do with appetite, like chewing regular gum will not kill the need for a cigarette.
Well meant I am sure Concerned, but addiction is what it is, like someone on here said, it is a form of self abuse.
