Yesterday was hard, but I survived. Does anyone here remember a magazine back in the sixties called Petticoat ? One of the regular articles was one called Battling Through The Dieting Day, and that pretty much sums up life for all of us at the moment I suppose. Still, my motivation is there for me in hopefully getting mobile again when im lighter. Years ago, i belonged to a Morris dancing side, which , though you might laugh, is brilliant exercise and helped to keep my weight down, but I always fancied clogging. There are no clogging sides in this area, but ive found tutorials on YouTube, and so this is to be my new goal. I will lose this weight , my leg will get better and my mobility will return, and i WILL with the help of YouTube , teach myself to clog !
Good luck to everybody today- thank you for your continued support - and look forward to my ranting feet making clog noises soon x

Brilliant! If the exercise is fun, you'll be more likely to keep it up. All sorts of things are great exercise, people forget that it doesn't have to involve gyms and sports shops. We can get fit just as well in funny shoes with bells and brightly coloured handkerchiefs
I know ! Very unacceptable ...it was a bit of a trail blazer at the time, with stories of girls who had sex with men they weren't even married to !!!! My mum banned it eventually after she saw some of the articles
You better watch out though - don't let those bloody hipsters hear about it or there will be combined clog/spin classes at your local gym before you know it!
Yeah and we were border morris- no hankies and baldricks for us, we had rag coats, bells, Morris sticks and black and yellow faces ( that was face paint by the way - not bruises from the sticks :D)
Hey Libby, will be checking out clogging later...and as for Morris dancing...so cool! Love your goal and will be checking out your posts to see how you're getting on. Good luck.😄
There are probably more sides (Technical term!) out there than you realise. Have a good google. Never met a side yet that too many members! Got for it!
