Day one: Almost passed out when I read... - Weight Loss Support
Day one
Don't worry about what we think all of us have battled our weight. Accepting where you are and deciding to do something about it it the first step. You are welcome here and will get encouragement and support.
Are you doing the nhs 12 week plan. You can download it. It is doable and sustainable.
A lot of us use a free app called myfitnesspal which helps to calculate not just the calories but also the nutritional value of all you consume. It also works out using your stats how many calories you should have.
You will lose weight easier if you also get more exercise. To start with just increase how far you walk. Park a distance from your destinations. Get off the bus a stop too soon. Take the stairs.
As you get fitter you can do more.
Don't be ashamed but let that feeling motivate you to get healthier.
See this as a journey to fitness rather than a diet.
Good luck
Well, you're here and made the decision to start a new life! Well done you. Down load the NHS 12 week plan to help you on your way ....and keep posting. Good luck.
I know exactly how you feel, I've just done the same!!
Well done for posting here, there is no need to be ashamed we are all here for the same reason. Making the first step is always hard, but now you've done that I wish you luck with your weight loss ☺
You say you feel ashamed but there is no shame in taking control and that first step to putting the weight behind you. Congratulations not condemnation are due to you. Well done and good luck on the journey.
Don't be ashamed, you have made a start and in a week's time there will be a better number on those scales.
Be a bit kinder to yourself and believe in all that you can do and I'm sure you will get there.
Have a fab week.
