There is a birthday in the office and nowhere to hide........Noooooooooooo
Oh No!: There is a birthday in the... - Weight Loss Support
Oh No!
Step away from the cake!! Or take a piece to eat later ( feed it to thebirds ) when no one is around. Tough one though
If you are going to have something be decisive about what you will have and only have that, and make it last. Or maybe offer to make a round of tea but just have tea yourself, while encouraging everyone else to enjoy cake with their teas. Sneaky
2 hours and still resisting - four slices left. time to go for a walk
OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND : (
mantra I have to keep telling myself when I'm trying to avoid all the binging going on around me
I now have a rule that I will only eat cake if it looks like the best cake I have ever seen. No point wasting calories except for the best!
I did consider the option of eating a piece of cake and including it in the daily count. But this is only my first week and I am not fully in control yet. one piece could easily lead to two.
one piece left now and I have an emergency apple in my bag - it's loaded and I know how to use it.
Yeeeeeeeeees the final piece has been consumed and balance can once again return to the universe. Today is a good day
Well done on resisting the cake. Office birthdays are hard. It's my birthday next week and as well as cake I will take some fruit to give everyone a choice 😀
Thanks every one, I didn't realise resistance could be such fun
I love this forum. Well done Ken and we'll done everyone else for offering moral support. We are better together!
Amazing, resisting that cake gives you more motivation to resist it again next time. Also you can revisit this thread and it will remind you how good it feels to hold out til the last piece has gone
Well done Ken! Some of the office girls had a 'bake off' last night where they made madiera cakes and bought them in to judged by everyone today - I joined in with the cheering but no cake touched my lips (they all looked amazing though!). I am on week three and still feeling like I can't stick to one although I haven't really tested myself yet by buying in goodies....
I hope you managed to step away from the cake or at least only manage a tiny wee bit!!!!!
I had a similar problem day 2 of my plan and again yesterday. I keep telling myself "I'm not the dustbin"......it's great to be in control of food rather than the other way around!!!! Good job Ken.....
Hi Alison185, someone said to me very recently "it's your bus and you are the driver". This is how I see this 12 week challenge, it's got to be me in control
