I have been away for a few days to Manchester. I had 2 all day weddings and 1 gala dinner to attend! Home very late indeed last night absolutely shattered, but very happy. The fuzzy warm happiness lost a little of its cosiness this morning however, I stepped on the scales to find I have regained 2lbs. Now I could beat myself up about this and bemoan the injustice of it all, but I won't. On Friday I had a 7 course gala dinner with appropriate alcohol for each course, on Saturday I had a 4 course day reception and a hog roast evening buffet, on Sunday it was a 5 course day reception and a pie and peas evening buffet. Saturday also contained a lot of champagne, though Sunday was sparkling water as I had to drive the 130 miles home that night. So as you see, it was ONLY a 2lb gain, it could have been more. I have had an amazing few days with wonderful people and wonderful memories made. This for me outways the 2lbs. I did manage to do a 5 mile walk on Saturday and Sunday morning, dogs don't care how late you have been partying, lol.
So this morning so far has consisted of the weigh-in, an 1 1/2 hour walk over the fields then home for breakfast - a 2 egg omelette with sauteed red peppers and wild and field mushrooms, roughly 300kcals. Oh and 2 cups of builders tea, I do love a good strong cup of tea, lol.
Hope everyone has a fab week in every way possible π
Drawing a line is the best thing to do. What has gone has gone and dwelling would probably end up sabotaging the present and future. Hope we both have a good week. π
Hi Shellie, that sounds like a magical weekend. Doesn't sound like much could get you down right now tbh. You've weighed yourself straight away which I think is pretty brave, but maybe by next week things will have evened out a bit more, the 2lb gain is hopefully just a temporary glitch that your body can easily compensate for. Hope you have an excellent week and lots more inspiring walks

Thanks Ruth. Going all out this week. The walk yesterday was very wet, as was this mornings. The dogs I walked at the weekend don't mind the rain but my little Alfie hates it and was a rather reluctant companion, lol. Food is to be a plain and simple affair this week in a bid to get a good weight loss, I am all rich fooded out for the time being. So it was an omelette for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and a chicken casserole will be ready in half an hour for dinner. Hope you have a good week hun.π
