Lost a pound and a half this week which I was very pleased with. However now I am feeling really under the weather with a cold and a very sore throat. I'm struggling with cooking and I'm just not sure what to eat. But worried I might eat bad stuff because I feel miserable and lazy. Any suggestions?

Hi Alex7ra,

Congratulations on losing a pound and a half this week, that's really great.

Sorry to hear you're suffering with a cold now though, that's not very nice, especially in the Summer months.

When I'm full of a cold, I tend to rely on easy things like soup and some bread, as the soup is easy to heat up and somehow satisfying - particularly chicken soup (that is supposed to be good for a cold). I also ensure I drink plenty of fluids too.

Back at work but feeling tired and snotty still :-(

Have been eating really badly and put back on the pound and a half I lost before.

Managed a Pilates class last nights but even just a gentle walk wipes me out.

Thanks for asking and sorry for the whinge! Hows your running going?

My bf just had this bug too and it really wiped him out (assuming it's the same one). When you're ill you have to just focus on getting better, a few days of taking it easy could stop it dragging on for weeks. Deal with the 1.5lb when you're back in fighting form :)

My running has been next to non-existent since last Mon for various reasons, but hopefully joining a running club tonight. It's listed on the runengland site as saying it meets Tuesdays at 18:45, but haven't had a reply from my attempts to contact them...
