Lose weight
Hi Laura, you've come to the right place hun.
Everyone is very supportive here, and we're all in it together, and will succeed together.
I know from personal experience that self-esteem will grow and improve as you get nearer the weight you are aiming for. As I've gained weight my self-esteem has dropped, but I know its in there somewhere, and I'll see it again soon.
First step? download the NHS 12 week plan for losing weight. Its free, and it might sound like a long time, but do it one day at a time.
There's no quick fix (unfortunately) so you can do it, we all can, that's why we are here. When you start take a pic of yourself, full length, then in a month take another one and compare them. It's the best motivator ever, even more than the scales x
I agree with the photo. I find that more helpful than measurements as I'm never sure I am measuring in the same place each time. I would recommend introducing changes gradually. Eg first week focus on portion size. Next week trying to increase veg eaten etc. take it one week at a time. Good luck
Reading the posts on this site is a very very good start. I began 7 months ago by following the NHS strength and Fitness program (done from home because I was too embarassed to go to the park). I could not then even think about trying to lose six stone without waves of panic.
One thing leads to another, it is like pulling a piece of thread but if you start you will feel better almost straight away. As fussybird says there is no quick fix. As Claireep says try a few things first. It will take time but it will be a good time for you. I am having fun for the first time in years.
I suggest you to join some fitness programs which will help you in loosing weight in a proper way.
