Fresh Start

Hi, having failed miserably. I am restarting my twelve week plan. Managed to lose a little then put it back on and then went into melt down. So, day 1 and a fresh start.

Hi Anthea. I'm afraid I've got to say "snap" as I seem to have lost my motivation. It is so frustrating as I was doing really well losing a lb a week. Today is my first day back to eating sensibly instead of having the attitude of not caring. I'm cutting right back on sugary things as that is my addiction. Once I start, I just crave for more and more. We are all doing this together and we know we can. Just got to realise we can do it! :)

Good for you taking that step in the right direction. Good luck

Hi and welcome back :-) You say that you failed miserably last time - this seems rather negative language for your fresh start! I think that it may be more useful to say that you didn't achieve what you wanted to first time round on the 12 week plan but that you have learned from it. You could think about the specifics as to why it didn't work well last time, what you can do differently this time and make specific plans to avoid those pitfalls. You are in control and you can do this.... Good luck :-)

Hi MagsMM, was just being honest about failing. I'm taking your advice and made a list of where it fell down last time. Woke up this morning feeling motivated. :)

I'm glad that you are feeling motivated - go for it! :-)

I wasn't criticising your honesty - just thinking that seeing it as a learning experience (a practice run?) would be more positive than saying that you "failed" which is very negative, value-laden and seems to put you in the wrong. It wasn't time wasted if you learned something that equips you to achieve your goals this time around - and you list seems to say that you did. So this time you will be able to anticipate the issues and be more able to deal with them than last time. Onwards and upwards.....
