Well, after a week of tracking food and an attempt to continue eating healthily, I have lost 7lbs. I know that people will say that slow weight loss is best, and I agree, but I assume that this amount of weight loss is due to having a break from dieting and then dieting again.

Well done you, its normal to have a big loss the first week for the very reasons you have cited above. Its a great motivator though, so keep being positive and persistent and you will get there
