Starting the NHS plan with 5.4 stone to lose.

I have decided its time to change my lifestyle. I work odd hours as a chef and eat at all the wrong times which is a contributing factor to me being 12 stone. However, before I opted to begin using to contraceptive implant I was a dress size 6 and in no time ballooned to a dress size 16. I've got back down to a 12 but my weight loss seems to have just stagnated, nothing is happening. I signed up for the gym on Monday and threw myself into classes, the two I tried where kettlebells and legs bums and tums. I loved doing both, it was so exhilarating to be active however, I found that suffering from fallen arches made some of the exercises a little uncomfortable and hard to do- mainly jumping e.g burpees and jumping to steps. However, I am not going to let this stop me or deter me. I have a further 5.11 stone to lose and I think I can do this!

I was a little wary of using a gym at first as I was worried people would stare but they don't, they're more focused on what they are doing than you and the instructors are lovely! I recommend it to anyone that is a little hesitant.

Please tell me you are 5 foot or shorter as to weigh less than 7 stone would take you into the unhealthy range which would put you at risk of all sorts of health problems!

Glad you are enjoying the gym, I love exercise now too.
