Last week 12.10 st, this week 12.11 st. Now for excuse time... It's still theoretically holiday time and I went out for dinner last night, I am also beginning of a period. I think my main problem is that portions are creeping up so next week will aim to cut down again, I would like to start losing again so will make a real effort. However it's good for the soul to take a break occasionally so no regrets. I hope everyone's week is more successful than mine.

Many times weightloss is hidden behind water retention. A copious dinner would retain water until digested, and even more if it included carbs. Starting your period also bloats you. Please don't feel bad, it's just fluid and it will go away! Drink a lot of water and stick to your healthy routines,

I'm glad you're still enjoying your holiday, and that you had your meal out last night - I hope you enjoyed it. You've done well to only gain 1 pound over the holiday period - and also being on your period will also be relevant. I'm glad you've got no regrets, as taking a break is definitely good for the soul.
You'll soon lose that pound and I hope you can re-frame the slight gain as a positive, because it's only a small amount, and it will soon come off again.

Thank you Lowcal. It was a lovely meal and we celebrated our eldest daughter getting into her first choice school so very happy. I am hoping next week the scales start going down again so will try hard from now on. Hope all well with you. Have a good weekend and good luck on Monday.
