Hi Juliet444,
Congratulations on your weight loss - really good!
Hope you have a great time on your week away, and good luck with maintaining.

OBESE. Is just a word, some small word and not that important in itself. You are important and you are doing really well, enjoy your holiday, don't spoil anything for yourself or others with unrealistic expectations. Life is a journey we must make, some of us enjoy every step, we are the lucky ones. Enjoyment is just another word.
Up until yesterday I was OBESE. Today I 'm simply OVERWEIGHT. The difference simply a bit of self control , a bit of exercise. At the end of the day just another word.
Will I celebrate my new status, my new description ? Yes I will, but will the celebration put me back, will it change me ?
Week 11. This is working for me. Have developed a few strategies, these help me.
Keep a few washed carrots in the fridge, when in need of a snack just chomp on these, keeps the cravings satisfied and improves eyesight !
Take at lease 3 times as long to prepare a meal than it takes to eat. Be creative with simple foods, make a feast for the eyes as well as the belly.
Excuses, forget excuses, just self delusion.
Be honest with yourself, don't get on the scales every day, take the ups and downs with honesty.
Thank you for your advice. Glad it is going well for you. My weight loss has been steady but with the mindset of change of lifestyle rather than diet. I am glad to be in the overweight bracket as I used to hate seeing 'obese' on my profile on the doctor's screen. Ideally I would like to be a healthy weight so I stand a good chance of being around abit longer for my children. Getting sleep apnia was a real wake up call! (as well as all the other symptons I suffered from being much heavier). Anyway good luck with your journey and thanks again.
