week 5: eating less this week without... - Weight Loss Support
week 5
As always portions do matter! I really love homemade soup to! I generally make about a litre - then divide into 4 - so each portion is around 250mls! I have porridge for breakfast, then soup for lunch and dinner! Seems to be working for me! 2 k to go till target!
Unless you count calories you don't know how much you have had. If you are eating healthily what are the shakes you are having?

been having ultra slim shakes i have stoped them as it makes me hungery in an hour but i cut out all the crap but im confused how much my pan of soup is im so love it i eat it when 9m hungery and a healthy meal at tea time like fish rice potatoes dont any sauces nothing dont if it coming up to 50 this year your weight loss slows down im started to walk more to see if can lose next week
It should be easy enough to work out how many calories in your pan of soup just by the ingredients. Some people use an app called my fitness pal, but you can do on-line searches for calories. I use a wee book called pocket calorie counter which I bought on Amazon. My book says 2 ladles of home made veg soup is 93 calories, so its a good snack. (Obviously to a certain extent it depends what veg is in it but provided its not all hi carb stuff that's a reasonable average.
I don't think age is necessarily an issue. I lost 22lb 2 years ago when I was 58 and then took up c25k and last summer at 59 walked/jogged a marathon (26.2 miles).
Gingernut, who also posts on here, is in her 60s and uses the 5:2 diet and also c25k.
I couldn't do 5:2 as I tend to binge if I get too hungry. I find it useful to have snacks planned into my daily calorie count so I keep the pangs at bay.
Good luck
If you do home made soups with veg I think you can eat what you like..
