Hi Vixbear,

Great that you've been doing the driathlon and also eating healthily. You titled your post as 'Frustrated' and said you've 'only lost 3 pounds' - but that sounds really good to me! 3 pounds is a significant amount of weight to lose.

I don't know if you've looked at the NHS weight loss website, but it is really good in terms of having a structured 12 week plan - the link is nhs.uk/weightloss and I've found it really helpful personally. Particularly combining healthy eating with exercise. Are you doing any exercise? When did you start your weight loss journey?

Are you feeling frustrated because it's a challenging process, or because you feel you'd like to lose weight quicker, or something else entirely? Maybe thinking about what exactly is frustrating you might help you to look for solutions that will help you, but I really think you're doing well to have lost 3 pounds. I would definitely encourage you to celebrate that. :-)

Wishing you a good week.

Lowcal :-)

Thanks this is reassuring! Exercise is a bit of a bugbear - time and motivation! Not a natural athlete.

You could also be turning fat to muscle so I wouldn't worry. 3lbs is a loss which is ace! Are you weighing to see your bone mass, water, muscle and body fat?

Don't know how to weigh these!

That's brilliant! I only lost 1lb doing it last year as I only cut alcohol and didn't necessairly eat healthy.. Well done!

If you were to lose more than 4lb in a month I would be worried that you couldn't maintain it once you introduced alcohol again.

Just remember that alcohol contributes calories to your diet and If you drink/eat over them you will put weight on
