I honestly think it's not worth beating yourself up on, you can however still enjoy your nights out by both cutting back a bit and not doing it as often. There's no reason you're not allowed to enjoy yourself, you're more likely to fail if you cut out everything fun from your life, and you won't gain everything back in one night! At most it's probs just a lot of liquid, which is easier to lose again anyway. xx

Perhaps rethink the amount of alcohol you are drinking? Can you have a good time without getting drunk?

not really! haha liquid courage for me :(

Hey I totally understand how you feel - nights out can be the recipe for disaster when drunk you decides it's fine to stuff your face with chips and then the hangover cravings are the worst!

I had a night out last weekend and although I went completely over the top I tried to think more about what I was drinking and opted for drinks with fewer calories and managed to steer clear of the takeaway (although I did have toast when I got in but the damage was limited!) and the next day I probably did overeat too but I promised myself I would get straight back to it the day after!

Basically what I'm trying to say is that it is possible to still have fun and treat ourselves as long as we accept that we will probably put on a couple of pounds in the process and not give up because of it! It's all about being honest with ourselves about what we are putting in our body! :)

Drinking the calories is one of the ways calories sneak up on us, maybe try diet drinks with spirits instead of alco pops or cocktails. Or only have a couple drinks and then stick to water loads of dancing will soon burn off the extra calories. Avoid takeaways at the end of the night, if your normally hungry maybe pre plan a snack ready for when you get in so you can avoid the takeaways and healthier snacks available during your hangover. Another thing would be to adjust your calories so you eat less during the week and extra for a night out. Its all about trial and error. You will find what works for you as everybody is different. Stay strong you will find your way

Aww eden, I remember being 21 and there's no way you can stay away from the alcopops when all your mates are bevvying up and having a good time....nothing worse at that age (or any actually!) when you are stone cold sober and you watch the party from the outside. If your'e going to party weekends try to steer clear of the take away on the way home, difficult I know as that's when you REALLY want a kebab! If not possible resign yourself to weekend binges (try keep it to one night only), and spend Sunday drinking loads of healthy home made veg soup (to hydrate and help that hangover) and get back on track Monday. There's no miracle cure I'm afraid...alcohol takes over the mind and the diet! Ain't life a bitch!!
