Six seconds of exercise 'can transform health'
Hi, it is w well know fact the aerobic and anaerobic exercise is much better than just one of them. Intermittent spurts where you just give it your best does seem to work... but... I'd be a little scared of trying this later on in life. And I would think you would have to be pretty much fit in the first place if you try this at an older age. In my opinion.
Oh and on the continent they have 'play grounds' for the elderly (whatever age that is) for gently muscle, bone and general wellbeing. One or two in England , Lytham for sure. They're brilliant fun for all the family!!
Like any other exercise you have to be sensible, and not rush into doing too much. Have a look at HIIT for seniors (most of these sites are American). Being "an older person" I can recommend it!
