Hi. Looking for a bit of light at the end if the tunnel. Since February I have lost two and a half stone and I want to be celebrating this but a couple of days ago I got a look at my boobs which look awful. I am not to worried about the cup size as I always used to think they were too big but now they literally look like a pair of deflated balloons, literally, the skin is wrinckled up the same way a balIoon does and they have no fulness. I am really upset about it because I have worked so hard to get to my target weight. I exercise every single day, I run three times a week and do muscle/resistance training twice a week, including exercise s thatvare supposed to work out my chest (though perhaps not enough) I have read online tht there is no real way to help without surgery which I cannot afford. I have seen lots of advice on excercises you can do but no success stories top back them up. I used to be a FF cup and now I barely fill out a dd. (Not tuat I would want tp push them up they are so wrinkley). Is there anything I can do?

Ps. I would advise anyone against losing weight too quickly after this

How old are you? I just wear a decent full cup but not padded bra, the staff at M&S are great went from a 38/40e to 34c/d

I am 24. Yes I definitely have to invest in a whole new set of bras now. I am getting measured up all the time.

it makes all the difference - you are young so may consider surgery but remember - everyones will droop (a little)or a lot :) in the end, and if you have surgery it will need to be repeated they dont last for ever and how many people see you topless?

I'm afraid that nothing is going to help them when you are naked :( however I would invest in some good quality bras to make you feel confident and look good. A good bra can change your shape and make you look slimmer. Have you tried bravissimo?

There are no muscles in your breasts, so any exercise is aimed at the surrounding muscles. When you are at target speak to your doctor and he MAY refer you for surgery on NHS but that is a big step at a young age. Being thinner and healthier far outweighs a few wrinkles.

Focus on your achievements dearie, you have done so well to lose all that weight, what a star! As for the boobies. I would recommend making sure that you have a good firm bra with plenty of support (something like Triumph's Doreen gives astounding support but maybe you are a bit young for such a monster) , it might mean paying a little more but it's well worth it.

Have you had any babies? ladys' chesticles tend to lose a lot of their 'bounce' post pregnancy anyway I'm afraid...if not...as you are still very young maybe exercise will help, as has been said, we don't have muscle tissue in our breasts but there are muscles in the shoulders, back and chest wall. Using a good emollient cream might improve the appearance as well.

I wouldn't recommend cosmetic surgery either....

Nope no babies.

I am not sure what emollient cream is but I have recently started using a skin firming cream also some oil to help with stretch marks.

I would like to focus on my achievements but it is difficult. I wasn't ever an unhealthy weight just very curvy and I have always worn low cut tops and the like. So in hind sight I am not sure if the weight loss was worth it or if I was happier before. I tried some chest excercise yesterday and judging by how they felt I have not been working that area properly at all.

Not what you're looking for?
