I have gone over the 1400 calorie intake?
First of all you need to find out whether you need to lower it. It may be that you are taller or heavier and that you should be eating more. If you go on the nhs bmi calculator or my meal mate and put in your details it will give you a calorie range you should stick to. The lower endof the range given by the bmi calculator will be the target for losing 2lb a week. If 1400 is right for you then it may be that you are better aiming for 1.5lb a week because it's better to lose slowly than not to lose at all. If you are short not very active not very overweightand older you will need a lower calorie intake and 1400 may be right for you in which case you can trim a few calories here and there from each meal, change to 1% fat milk instead of semi. Have a few less cups of coffee or tea and drink water instead. Personally if after checking the nhs bmi calc i found out my target was 1400 I would carry on as you are for the rest of the week and see if you have lost any because if it's working and you can do it why change. If you find your weight loss slowing then check it again and then drop how many you have at that point.
