A few questions for you all...

Hi all,

I run a website to do with this industry, and some of the advice I have seen here is quite... well, interesting, to say the least.

I am also a qualified PT, and work in a specialised role day to day with individuals with medical conditions.

I have a few questions for you all, more out of personal interest than anything. Please answer honestly, if you aren't sure of a question, please say so. It will just hopefully highlight a few areas for myself RE peoples knowledge, and hopefully increase your knowledge too.

1 - What is/are your goal/s?

2 - Do you know what your macronutrient intake is?

3 - How do you measure your progress?

4 - How long (weeks, months, years?) have you wanted to achieve your goal?

5 - How many times do you exercise a week, and for what duration?

6 - Have you purchased specific products to aid you in reaching your goal? If you have, if you wouldn't mind listing them that would be good.

7 - Where and who have you asked for help?

8 - On a scale of 1-10, how important is reaching your goal?

9 - What prevents you? Is it work, family, financial, time management etc?

I would love if you could all spend 5 minutes answering these with complete honesty. Even if you think it sounds silly!

Thanks :)

1. My goal is to return to 10st 8lbs, at my lightest, about 11st now, things went wrong after I left a very active job, back in work, re motivated and losing again.

2. Don't know the answer to this.

3. I measure my progress by my clothes, diet and scales.

4.Took my around 6 months to do my first phase of 1stone 7lbs, and a few months for the remaining 6 lbs.

5. I tend to walk about an hour every day.

6 I bought nothing as such, have american measuring cups which came in handy, as to portion control, and added up my calories on a daily basis.

7. Sought help online, and googled stuff.

8. 7 to 8.

9. Nothing really , feeling a bit low and over eating, which can be addressed, cat cuddles fix this!

Hope this helps and answers everything.

TVL777 as someone who works in research - requests for information must be made via HealthUnlocked and the NHS. Regardless of whether it's for personal reasons - which i honestly doubt very much - it is unethical to be asking people about this.

I doubt very much that this is for 'personal reasons'; I think it's more for your employment seeing as you are a PT and run a website. Thus it is fair to say that you are acting unethically.

I have reported this, as I do not think it's appropriate.

Not what you're looking for?
