hi all! hope you weight loss is going well!i was wondering is 1500 calorie for all women?
Hi,
The plan recommends 1400 for women I think. Best to take it slowly to start anyway. Good luck
The 1500kcal is a rough guide. If you do little exercise you may need fewer calories to lose weight or if you are very active you might need to have more so you don't feel too starving and lose weight too fast. Rapid weight loss can be damaging to your health, so its not worth trying for as few calories as possible to get quick results.
Follow the link below to the NHS calorie calculator, which gives a target range taking into account height weight gender and activity levels:

Also, I think it is fine to adapt your personal target based on actual results. For example, my goal is around 1800kcal per day and on average I've lost about 0.5lb per week. If I wanted to lose weight faster I would change the goal to a lower number (e.g. 1500kcal). You have to give it a few weeks to see how a particular calorie target works for you, since everyone is slightly different in the amount of calories they need. (I'm usually pretty active nowadays going to the gym or for a run most days).
