Good Luck, just try to keep in mind that it's a marathon not a sprint :)

Hi Tart,

Good luck with your first week. It's a really good site here with lots of supportive people, and I'm sure you'll hopefully gain inspiration from it. I find it's better to 'plan' meals - rather than react to 'cravings' - I usually find the weekdays easier than weekends in terms of sticking to that resolve. I need to think of a plan of action to help me with weekends.

Hope you have a good week.

Best wishes,

Lowcal :-)

hi lowcal

Thank you , I planned food for the next day i struggle to plan for the whole week. It's better then nothing. I found an app change 4 life on my phone to help with ideas for food otherwise i get stuck and have the same thing over and over again. I dont eat alot of meat but i eat alot of Quorn.if you have any recipes i would be greatfull . My cravings are the hardest thing to control in the late afternoon . I just need to push through it .

cheers

Good luck - planning is the key and if you slip up - just put it you and don't over dwell on it. 1400 calories a day for most of us seems to do the trick and if you can throw in some exercise it is not only good for us physically but also mentally. I now do something three times a week - as I feel so much better for it and I am losing weight.

Best of luck this week

thank you , i have planned food for today and tomorrow. i think 1400 calories is alot and i hope that this is the way forward. I have joined up at the gym and it is 20 min cycle or half hour walk there. i plan on going at least 2 a week to the gym and do water arobics 2 twice a week as well . i just need to balance exercise and food out.

fingers crossed !!

Hi Tart,

I think Quorn is very healthy - I have made bolognese's using Quorn and find those very filling. I often eat stir-fries with either prawns or chicken, and find those very filling and healthy. I love chocolate, so I get my 'chocolate fix' by eating chocolate mousse (M&S do one that is very tasty and made with Belgian chocolate) and I also have a square of Lindt chocolate once a day with a coffee.

I am sure your gym membership will be really helpful - hope you enjoy your sessions there.

Good luck.

Hi lowcal,

I love bolonese and it's great and easy to cook. I too find it more filling. You can't go wrong with stir fry .If you don't burn it :-( ( I know the M & S dessert your on about ,it is lush).Im never to sure if you can over do the gym.

Thanks for your advice

Tart :-)
