I am very happy today, because I've lost 3 pounds this week. I hadn't really lost much at all over the past month, and infact had gained a couple of pounds - so it's good to have finally lost some weight, and I'm hoping that I will be able to continue to lose over the following week.
My weight loss in total has been a stone since the 1st January, and I would like to lose another stone by the end of the year.
This week, I have kept up regular exercise (mainly a long walk rather than a gym session, as the weather has been better), and I've been trying to prepare healthy meals wherever possible. I think my food intake tends to include things that would fit generally into the Mediterranean kind of diet - in terms of eating lots of vegetables and fruit, and nuts, and I use olive oil when oven baking vegetables (red peppers, onions, courgettes etc) and I eat fish or chicken generally. I enjoy chocolate mousse for dessert most nights, and I also have a treat of half a large pizza once a week. I snack on nuts and fruit, or yoghurt, or toast with spread. I do track my calories and write down my food intake and exercise, so I can keep track of it, and not let it get out of hand.
