I started my diet 4 weeks ago and also started walking at least 10,000 steps a day. So far I have lost 10lb and am really pleased. I'm counting my calories and try to stay at around 1000 a day but always give myself one day a week off. I'm starting to feel a lot fitter and am pleased to say my jeans are starting to feel a bit looser too.

Glad your doing well, well done for getting to your 10,000 steps. Is 1000 kcal enough for you a day? I thought it was best to stay over at least 1200.
Well done keep going won't be long before you feel a brand new you
Hi mellina39 1000 calories does seem very low amount to have. I know you have lost a bit of weight but this may soon start to cause you problems. Have you checked your calories out on the bmi calculator because this gives each person the right amount to have to keep them healthy. I used to have around 900-1000 calories a day for years and done ok to start with but after a while my weight went crazy and started to go up and I was fatter than most people who weighed less than me. No matter what I did I could never lose weight. I found out on here that it was because I wasn't eating enough. My body thought I was starving it so it turned what I did eat into body fat to ensure it could continue every day. Body fat weighs more than just eating the extra calories. A lot of my body fat has actually gone and I have lost almost 2st. Think about this as this will probably happen to you eventually. At the beginning there is every chance Weight may go back on for a bit while your body gets used to the amounts changing or there is every chance the amounts will just continue to drop. They did for me. Good luck with your journey though, all the best!
