Mini Pill

I’ve been having a constant period now for about two months. There have been small breaks where the doctor has prescribed me something to stop it.

The doctors have told me that until I lose weight that there isn’t really much they can do to try and help with the PCOS more. I have been experiencing these issues since I was a size 8, now a size 18 and have lost a stone whilst trying to manage my diet etc in a way that is meant to be beneficial for PCOS. Metformin gives me bad stomach issues so I can’t use that. They have just said that the only thing they can give me is the mini pill/progestin only pill.

I’m nervous about starting the mini pill because it feels like I’m just hiding from the issue and when I decide to stop taking again, I’ll be exactly back where I am now.

Has anyone got any advice on this?
