Metformin and Pregnacare

Hi,

Just to check is it safe taking metformin and pregnacare before pregnancy as supplement together? is there any side effects ? We are trying to get pregnant naturally

I would recommend not to take Metformin as oral anti diabetics are not recommended in pregnancy

Metformin cause b12 deficiency leading to defective brain development of the child in first trimester

Other ovulation induction can be recommended by your doctor

Avoid self medications for safe pregnancy

Metformin is recommended by doctor not taking any medication without docs consultation .She also confirmed that I can take pregnacare with metformin. Ultrasound scan blood tests everything is fine no issues found after she recommended metformin to induce ovulation as my PMS gap up to 2-3 months but after taking this tablets looks better than before. Any help would be highly appreciated many thanks
