This is more of a little rant but myself and my partner are TTC but with my PCOS I rarely ovulate so I’ll need some help and a lot of planning. I’ve been really trying to get myself into a positive mind set about it and really get things in order. I went to my new job today and there was no information on the maternity policy so I asked someone, they gave me a look so I said I’m not pregnant I’d just like to know (again I’m trying to be positive and hopeful) but then it was all just a big laugh, the member of staff still laughing said they’d email to find out but they don’t see why I’d need to know or why I’d even ask with my lack of pregnancy. It sounds really silly to be upset over it, especially when typing it up but I just felt so uncomfortable especially knowing that this journey is going to be difficult I just wanted to feel at least a little bit in control of the things around me.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Asking about the maternity policy is a totally normal thing to do whether or not you’re pregnant. They behaved in a totally unprofessional way and you shouldn’t be embarrassed at all. I’m totally shocked they would respond like this! Urgh…. Good luck with everything ❤️❤️❤️
