Pcos?

Hi everyone I had a laparoscopy done last week and my doctor told me i have pcos it was only briefly he spoke to me as I was abit high from all the pain killers I was on and I should be seeing him to speak properly in the next few weeks about it all. However I don’t seem to have any of the major symptoms. My periods are always regular no excess hair etc the main reason I went in was pain and bleeding between period, heavy and painful periods and struggling to get pregnant for last 6 years. So is it possible I do have pcos or has the doctor got it wrong? I know no one can tell me 100% but would just like opinions lol :) thank you x

Hey,

I also had a lap. Was told I had PCOS and stage 3 endometriosis. I was also asymptomatic, regular periods etc. I didn't think anything was wrong with me. Started taking Inofolic after gynae recommended it at my first appointment 3 months before my lap, had ICSI 6 months after lap, now we have a baby boy! Good luck x

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), we were recommended to go through IVF, ICSI it's a type of fertility treatment where they take the best quality sperm and place it inside the egg. You may not need to consider IVF just yet I was recommended to go ahead with it because me and my husband were diagnosed with subfertility. 🙏

Hi, sorry to butt in! But were you prescribed inofolic or just buy it yourself? And is it similar to myo-inositol? Also congratulations on your baby boy ❤

Hi I just bought it online. I'm not sure about that, I just went off the gynecologist recommendation. Thank you xx

You can have polycystic ovaries but not PCOS. Poly cystic ovaries are one element of the PCOS diagnosis, the others are results from blood work (hormone imbalance) and also physical symptoms ie. irregular periods/acne/excess hair/male pattern hair loss. You need two out of these three elements to be diagnosed with PCOS.

Hello! Have they carried out blood tests to test for hormone levels. Another sign of PCOS is elevated androgens. Might be good to ask them to check that for you if they have not already.
