Hi

I’m under investigation for PCOS. I’ve been put on the progesterone only pill so I’ve stopped bleeding, however I’m still getting agonising pain in my groin and the worst cramping. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything other than paracetamol and codeine that I can take? (Can’t take anti inflammatory tablets due to chronic asthma)

Hi,

You really need to get this investigated by you’re doctor. Pain is not considered a symptom of PCOS and there are multiple possible causes for Pain in that region anything from digestive issues to gynaecological conditions.

It’s worth keeping a symptom diary alongside food to see if you notice a pattern.

Otherwise you can check out the Endometriosis UK pelvic floor exercises which can help to relax the muscles in that area.
