PCOS at 38 and TTC

Hi, I am new here and just diagnosed with PCOS...i am 38 and TTC...the past few years I have been repeatedly told that I don't have it, however the last Dr I saw did refer me to a fertility clinic and had the internal scans, which have now shown I do have PCOS. I am slightly annoyed as I should have pushed harder over the last few years as I feel like my opportunity to have a child is getting smaller.....I have always struggled with being overweight and no matter how hard I try it just feels like a smack in the face.

I have now been prescribed Metformin and a higher dose of folic acid and I just wanted to know if there is anyone else out there who is my age and TTC and any help you can give me - I keep reading about Clomid also and just wondered should I be asking about this also? Will Metformin and folic acid be enough?

Trying to stay positive as at least I now have an answer as to why I have been unable to conceive, just so frustrating!!! Thanks xx
