I keep thinking it's going to be REALLY HEAVY AND UNSTOPPABLE if theres anyone at all that's been on norethisterone for this long or longer please can you tell me how was it for you coming of the pills as I cant stress no more in regards to it and I'm sick of worrying
13 months on norethisterone Straight no ... - PCOS UK (Verity)
13 months on norethisterone Straight no breaks!
I personally don't know anything about it. But maybe ask your doctor if your scared? Or do you have some time where if you were to have bad periods off work or school, where if you needed to just rest you can? I imagine it would be better to suffer it had home than in a classroom or a work place.
I was only on it for 4 weeks and the period after was fairly traumatising so I would speak to your doctor. They prescribed me tablets to help with blood clots and for the pain. I don't mean to add to your stress, just want to be honest so you can get the help you need to prepare yourself
I've got alot of tranexamic acid tablets and ibuprofen tablets too but I've never ever been on them this long term before so I feel it's going to be traumatic! I'm seeing my gyne consultant on the 30th dec so I'll be explaining everything to him about it as it is stressing me right out as I do have heavy periods as it is but not had one due to been on norethisterone for 13 months straight!! So I'm so worried I just hope it doesn't get to severe to the point I'm hospitalized.... that's the worry its putting in my head right now
Just make sure you do stress all this to your doctor and I really didn't mean to add to your stress, but my experience wasn't great and I wouldn't want you to go through it without expecting it. You could be totally different though and have no bad effects, we are all different but your doctor will know a lot better. Wish you all the luck xx
