So, at 18 I moved out of my parents house and finally went to a GYN. She was immediatly concerned that I had PCOS and wanted me to get tested (I'm overweight with a few hairs growing on my face, including a very small mustache). She took a little bit of blood and found my androgen levels elevated, so I went to a GP armed with the evidence. They took a blood test and got a call a few weeks later saying everything was normal. I dont know whats going on with me. Sometimes, I wont have a period for months, I have problems losing weight, and I have excess body hair. A friend of mine with PCOS says she had the same issues before she was diagnosed, so I'm still wondering if I do have PCOS, but honestly im not sure. Any advice is appreciated.

It’s sounds like you might have Pcos if you don’t have regular periods. Did you do your blood tests on day 3 of your cycle?
I would go and get a second opinion as it sounds like you have typical symptoms to me. Sometimes the doctors don't even really.know what they are looking for your young enough to tackle this now before it becomes an issue. Although you can take pcos supplements and follow a diet that seems to work for people suffering with pcos. Gluten lacto free low carb and as little sugar as possible..
