So yeah I am basically in hospital for a chest infection and asthma attack and exacerbation.
What is slightly weird that has happened (I'm posting this in pcos too) is that it seems i have come on a period whilst being in hospital after not having one for a year. The last time i was i hospital for the same reason I was put on prednisolone and got some old brown spotting.
Is this a known side effect to anyone. I think the hospital wants to further investigate but kind of wish I hadn't said anything because I just want to go home which doesnt seem likely this week.
I'm on 35 % oxygen at the moment. And no ones even talked about reducing it as my sats are still low. I'm also on at least 4 nebs per day sometimes more.
So two things going on here. The weird blood thing and the fact no one seems to want to lower my oxygen to try and get me home. I was in here for over 4 weeks last time. Would rather not repeat that this time. Anyone had a similar experience.
Thanks

This may purely be coincidental as I have unpredictable bleeding at the best of times. However, I have experienced the worst asthma flare up I have had in many years recently and it ended with me having 2 nebulisers in the GP office, being sent from there to a&e and receiving 3 more, and not getting home until after midnight, so the next day. It was either later the same day ( I got home from a&e) or the following one that I had some spotting out of the blue. It was a single event which didn't repeat itself.
Prednisolone over a long period of time can increase chances of internal bleeding. Might be linked to your spotting? X If your sats don't improve they can't take you off the oxygen. Hope you get better soon...but until then you're in the best place...get something to do for moments when you feel better and want to do something cross stitch puzzle suduko or something..hang in there xx
