I have been suffering really bad mood swings - not knowing what to do with myself . Spots on my face . I have PCOS . Would this be hormones if so is there anything you can take to help or is a trip to GP ? Could this not be hormones and be depression ?

This has been going on for about 10 months .

Defintiely worth talking to your GP about this. Mood swings are one of the possible symptoms of PCOS but it could be other things as well. It's worth keeping a diary tracking when and why you're feeling a particular way to help inform the discussion with your GP and to get to know yourself a bit better if it is related to cycles etc.

The NICE guidelines do recommend that doctors screen for depression and anxiety where appropriate

There’s quite a few different options depending on the individual and the severity. It might be hormonal birth control, anti-depressants, therapy etc. But they can take you through that.

I can’t personally take the pill as I react badly to it but CBT has helped.

I do see a therapist . Does homeopathic medication help? I don't believe gp sending you off with a pill will help !!

Different things work for different people but there is no scientific evidence to support the use of homeopathy.

If it is hormones finding a way to manage and/or regulate them may help- that’s where the pill may offer some support.
