I have an appointment this evening with my GP to discuss the results of an ultrasound I had roughly 2 weeks ago. Long story short, I have been advised today's appointment is to 'try and figure out' if I have PCOS or just the ovarian cysts.
From information on the internet it seems I do have a few symptoms of PCOS. I also have type 1 diabetes and it seems there are links between the two.
Is there anything you guys would recommend I ask/am aware of whilst the investigation is ongoing? The whole thing seems a bit scary as I'm not sure of what comes next.
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks

They give you different treatment options to manage symptoms of pcos since there is no cure....yet! Basically Birth control pill or drugs to help you ovulate. Many women speak about their medications on here. I recommend researching the 5 types of PCOS. this helped me understand my symptoms better. Have you gotten ALL your blood tests back? Thyroid levels TSH and T3 and T4 MUST be tested before a proper diagnosis. Make sure you are taking certain vitamins and start straight away...vitamin D, magnesium, b6, B12, and zinc are the main ones. A multivitamin is not enough....take individual ones. A quality probiotic is another I take. Our gut bacteria control far more than doctors believe as this is cutting edge science 😊 hope your apt went well!
