Hi. I'm wondering if anyone else who has taken Provera for PCOS has had spotting?
I took a course of provera about a month ago and got a bleed after it (as usual). However now a month later I have been feeling cramps and I have had some spotting and very light bleeding - both brownish and red.
I keep thinking that the bleed will start completely but it's not coming to anything.
This has been going on for about 1.5 weeks.
Anyone had the same? Should I contact my GP?
Thank you,
Johanna

How strange, it is almost as if the provera has helped in trying to kick start your body a bit. I would leave it for now but if it continues then I would speak to the GP.
I have had so many issues with spotting. Due to PCOS my periods have been crazy irregular. Sometimes I'll have a period and sometimes I lll have spotting that can go on for up to a month which is really frustrating. The only thing that would stop the spotting would be provera, however as soon as I'd come off I'd have the most heavy excruciating bleed for 5 days. I would literally bleed my guts out and have flooding but it's the only that tht would stop the spotting. I myself just don't know what to do anymore. Been trying to conceive for past 3 years and have been put on metformin as I am insulin resistant and have been gaining weight at a crazy pace.
