Hi, I have had irregular since day one, I have PCOS and I have been having unprotected sex with my partner for 4 going on 5 years now, I am now almost 6 weeks pregnant, having PCOS doesnt stop your chance of getting pregnant, are bodies are delicate and stressing about getting pregnant can lower your chance, In the month before I got pregnant I was finally at peace with the fact that I might never get pregnant finally realising that having a baby isnt the most important thing in the world, the moral of my story is so meny women stress so much about not being able to get pregnant but in reality it going to happen it just takes time and you must be patient because thinking to much about it isnt going to higher your chance,

Hi, I had the same problem( just I wasn't planing for pregnancy) I had irregular periods for more than a year, sometimes I didn't have a period for like 3 or 4 months, I started using herbal medicines and phlebotomy and leeched. for months it didn't work, I was just giving up about another period that my mother found another herbal thing"Castor oil" it worked like 3 times, I mean I had 3 completely regular periods, then they stopped again. So my mother came up with another herbal idea "Chamomile herbal tea" which I'm using with Cloves tea and I use now and I had 5 periods which came like clock. I'm not a doctor and I don't know if it is going to work for everyone. please consult with a doctor before you use these, as I did.

And I should mention that I am fat and it is working better since I started loosing weight.

PCOS can absolutely affect our ability to get pregnant. We all have varying degrees of the condition, some women also believe their diagnosis of Polycystic Ovaries means they have PCOS, which it doesn't. That said, women with PO can still have issues with trying to conceive.

If you're concerned, the best thing to do is speak to your GP. For many women, metformin or clomin are enough to help you get pregnant, while others may need fertility treatments.

A GP will also be able to give you more information re spotting. Remeber, you can still have telephone appointments while the covid-19 crisis continues so give them a call.

Best of luck!
