False positive?

Hi,

I’ve been dignoised with pcos and have done my first round of provera and clomid and was told I didn’t ovulate.. I’ve taken my second lot of provera to jump start my period so I can take clomid, but it’s been 7 days and I haven’t had my period start. I took a pregnancy test tonight as I read somewhere that your period not starting after provera can be a sign of pregnancy. The test was positive, I’ve since taken another 2 tests tonight on a separate urine sample and they’ve all come back positive..

I’ve had a tiny bit of blood the last couple of days and really bad cramps, so my question is has anyone had a false positive?

I’m going to do another test in the morning and see, but I’m in disbelief.

When were you checked to see if you ovulate ?? We tend to ovulate later than the norm so you may well have still ovulated but just didnt show when you were tested (we are frequently tested too early so often looks like we havent). So if we go back to your first day of your period, how long ago was that, what pregnancy tests are you using, if it is the cheapy sort then they can be a bit unreliable so I would get the obvious one that spells out Pregnant !!!

Thanks for getting back to me. I did a few more tests including a first response one which all came out positive but unfortunately I have miscarried.

I was tested on day 21 of my cycle after taking clomid on days 2-6 but I bled for nearly two weeks after the provera so I suspect i ovulated late, my pregnancy test I did on the 13th of jan which was cycle day 36 was negative so I may have even ovulated on my own.

Oh no sorry to hear that, have they confirmed it as I bled for 2 weeks when I was 10 weeks which was bright red blood which they presumed was a mc - Noah is now 12
